Hi, edubloggers, since it has been a year since I last updated my page, I thought I might as well for the fun of it :D.

Anyway, if you didn’t know already, my name is Chad and this is the third year I am blogging. Currently, I am in the Eighth Grade at Hongwanji Mission School, which is a school influencing Buddhist Values on the island of Oahu, a small island smack dab in the middle of the ocean.

I have many hobbies ranging from traditional practices to typical hobbies you’re used to seeing. One unique hobby I enjoy is playing the Taiko or Japanese Drum. As you know I have done many posts expressing my obsession for the tradition. Though I have been training under many masters from Somei Taiko, Taiko Center of the Pacific, and even at Hongwanji Mission School, I still haven’t learned any traditional Taiko since I study Kumi Daiko or Group Drumming which is more similar to a Jazz Band.

Another daily task I do is Kumon, which is a Japaness-made academic program that gives you worksheets relating to certain math and Reading Literacy concepts that keep you ahead in school, which I attend every Monday and Thursday.

I am also a Jodo-Shinshu Buddhist which is a section of Buddhism developed by Shinran Shonin, not only do I attend Sunday Services and listen to the sage minester’s messages, but I am also a part of the Jr. Youth Buddhist Association which is a group of teens from all Hongwanji Mission where we participate in events to spread Buddhism and recruit new members, convene, and plan events for units from the other islands.

Like I said earlier, I also enjoy many another simple, yet common hobbies such as reading voluminous books and ranting about fandoms such as I am Number Four, Percy Jackson, HTTYD, Magnus Chase, and The Trails of Apollo, and listening to hits from my favorite artists.

I hope this was enough information to get a broad perspective of my life. Please look at my blog and leave a comment and I hope to contact you soon.

Thanks for reading!
